Teaching Tip Tuesday: Graphic Organizer Templates with Google Draw

Graphic Organizer Templates w/ Google Draw

An example of a sorting activity using Google Draw as a graphic organizer.  This was then shared out to the students via Google Classroom as a template for each student to edit.

Shared Credit:  Lyndsey Kubos and Tom Spall

Lyndsey created this Google Draw for her 4th grade students.  She wanted to create a digital sorting chart for her students to manipulate.  The template was set up with the sentences off to the side.  Lyndsey then sent this template to each student via Google Classroom as an assignment.

Now each student will have access to their own copy of that template to work on, move boxes around, and submit back to the teacher upon completion.  This approach works for any type of template you create for your students!

  1. Great to see others using Google drawings, such an underused resource. I have had issues when making copies for each student on classroom with drawings, has anyone else found this?
