Monday Motivation: Light and Shadows

It's easy for the news and social media to focus on the negative in schools, but shadows don't exist without light.
So let's shine some light and recognize just a few of the wonderful deeds that happen every day that often don't get noticed.

  • Students like Ethan Salazar, a Brenham Middle School student that brought cupcakes to a special needs class just to know them because he said "...they often get overlooked."

  • High school students that volunteer to tutor younger students that have fallen behind in reading, and offer a little mentoring on the side.

  • When a rival school finds out another high school tragically lost one of its students and then honors that student with a pregame balloon release ceremony.

So look closely and find those rays of light at your school. It only takes a little light to push back the shadows.
