Web 2.0: Storybird

Storybird is a free Web 2.0 tool that allows you to create stories on your own or with others. Select a collection of artwork, drag images on to the page and add text. It's that simple. It is "reverse storytelling"- you start with images and then add text. Teachers love it because it encourages reluctant readers and writers and it challenges more advanced students. Teachers can use Storybird to teach specific skills such as adjectives or writing complete sentences in the lower grades or character development, setting and theme for high school students.
