Making Connections Monday: Join in the conversation with #BISDconnect! #BISDwired

The mission of the Brenham ISD Technology Department is to provide exceptional technology integration, timely support, and genuine concern for the students and staff of Brenham ISD.

This semester we are excited to present a Connected Educator Series as part of our monthly professional development for BISD staff members. In January, we introduced the concept of being a connected educator, discussed academic vocabulary for our series, and shared our plans with staff for a district-wide Twitter chat. On January 28, over 60 Brenham ISD educators logged into Twitter and participated in our very first Twitter chat, moderated by BISD Instructional Technology Specialist, Tom Spall.

Last week, over 20 Brenham ISD educators traveled to Austin for a statewide conference produced by the Texas Computer Educators Association. Staff members attended professional development sessions covering topics such as creating a culture of innovation, student film festivals, project-based learning, Google tools, coding in the classroom and other technology integration strategies.

We invite everyone in our community to join in our next Twitter chat on February 25 from 7:00-7:45pm follow the hashtag #bisdconnect.
