Fifth and sixth grade students from the Brenham Middle School Recycling Club celebrated Earth Day on Friday by teaching a lesson on recycling to pre-kindergarten students at Krause Elementary. The pre-kindergarten classes were shown ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle. They practiced sorting different objects from water bottles to cardboard boxes into the correct recycling containers. The students enjoyed hearing a story about a monster who learns how to recycle and also created a model of the Earth to encourage recycling at home. Congratulations Shannon Zwahr and students on a job well done!
