Teaching Tip Tuesday: Voice Typing in Google Docs

Voice Typing in Google Docs

Many people overlook the amazing tools in their G-Suite Apps.  One of these fantastic tools is voice typing in Google Docs.  Great for students that have a difficult time typing due to a disability, lack of writing ability, or inexperience with typing.  Also a great tool for teachers that need to take notes, write lesson plans, or create an email post very quickly.

While in a Google Document, click on tools, and then click on voice typing.

The Voice Typing mic will pop up.  Feel free to move this around the window.  Click on the mic icon to record your voice.  You may have to allow the mic.  You may also have to change your mic input settings via your device.

Now record your voice.  Remember: saying period, comma, etc... will insert those punctuation marks into your sentence.

Good Luck and Enjoy!
