Create Comic Strips w/ Pixton EDU (& Google Slides)

Create Comic Strips with Pixton EDU

This past weekend, while presenting digitally at the annual TCCA conference, I met an educator named Carrie Stephens (@mscstephens) from Denton ISD Fine Arts.  She told me about this neat website for making digital comic with your students.  It's called, Pixton EDU.  It's free to use as a trial account with your students.

Sign In Window

SSO w/ Google, Microsoft, or Facebook

The teacher can sign in using their SSO, whether you sign in with Google, Microsoft, or Facebook, and set-up a free account.  Easily enroll your students by making a PixtonEDU class.  Once you create a class, you can send students the Student Join Link.  Students will click on the link, sign in, and join your class to start the creation process.

There are tons of great ways to use this website as a teacher.  They do offer a pro/paid account that unlocks a lot more options, abilities, and templates.

Need a cost-effective way to complete the same type of comic strip without using a paid website like Pixton?  Try using Google Slides to have students create digital comic books!  Check out this fantastic blog post from my buddy, Meredith Akers (@meredithakers):

(You can also do this in Google Sides)
