 Classroom Screen's AMAZING Updates

(Mrs. Gaskamp's Classroom Screen)

Mrs. Gaskamp uses Classroom Screen daily to let her students know the time, know what they are doing for the day (agenda), know if they can work in a group or not, and know what the topic is for the day (visual). This is an example (picture above) of one of her many Classroom Screens.

A lot of teachers use Classroom Screen, and last year (before COVID), a lot of teachers used the classic version. However, this school year, there is an updated free version and a pro version (paid). The updated version has a lot more options compared to the older version (in addition to still having the older version options).

New features I am loving on the free version:
  • a calendar button (montly calendar view)
  • a stopwatch button (in additon to the timer button)
  • a media button (upload image, YouTube, or turn on WebCamera options)
  • settings button (with saving your board options)
  • enhanced sound level button (no installing required)
  • more background images (even more animated images)
  • layout is more modernized
  • easily get to full screen
  • more text options (font size, style, etc.)

Classroom Connection:
How is this applicable to my classroom?

  • AVID Organization (agenda, overview, layout)
  • Posting your EQ, ELPS, TEKs, Exit Ticket with text button
  • Posting sentence starters to help all learners
  • Classroom management- with the sound level
  • Purposeful Talking (Fundamental Five  & Talk Read Talk Write) management with the work symbols button and the timer button
  • Blended Learning or Station Rotation with timer button
  • Visuals for ELs with the media button
