Wow Wednesday: The Power of Student Created Videos
There is something to be said about a student created video. Creation is not just recalling, but it is producing a product based on what the student has learned.
Mrs. Schulze had her students create book (movie) trailers based on what AP book they read. They used Adobe Spark Video and iMovie Maker. I was impressed on how their videos turned out with great music and graphics.
Mrs. Morales had her students create videos in Spanish. They had to prepare a food dish, and the recipe and ingredients all had to be in Spanish. It felt like we were watching an actual cooking show in Spanish. Each group used a different video program (based on what they were comfortable using like iMovie) to create their videos. Several groups added bloopers and commericals, too.
