Padlet: A Trusted Tool with Many Uses!

I've been using Padlet for years!  It's one of those trusted, dependable tools that you can always go back to when needing to get your students engaged, collaborating, sharing, or creating.

I enjoy sharing everything a Padlet board has to offer during my professional development sessions.  It's a combination of an old school bulletin board, mixed with tools/functions offered on Flipgrid, Vocaroo, Jamboard, and many more!  Include MP3's or MP4's on your sticky note, throw in a "snap" from your built in camera, or add any of the other import options to your note.

Here are some tips from the Padlet Team:

How to Personalize

Time to get familiar with your settings bar, especially that little gear icon (⚙). If you haven't already, add a title, description, and icon. Choose from a variety of preset backgrounds or upload your own. Organize with a layout: choose from Grid (like a pinboard), Stream (like a blog), or Freeform (the default). If you are a Jetpack user, alter your text and title with a fun theme. Last but not least, change the URL to something relevant and easy to remember.

How to Post

Drag and drop directly from your desktop, or click anywhere on the Padlet. If you're on a mobile device, double tap anywhere or select the plus (+) button. A simple text post will appear. To attach a file or link, click any of the icons below the text. We support every file type you can you can imagine, from an Excel spreadsheet, to a Spotify playlist, to a YouTube Video, to any link from any site.

How to Publicize (or Privatize)

We offer tons of options for sharing. Send the link or QR code to your Padlet, and those who receive it can post anything they want. If you prefer to invite only by email or username, you can do that, too. In Privacy, you can adjust who can view, write on, or moderate your Padlet. Updates will appear across devices immediately.

Enjoy Collaborating!
