Fab Find Friday: Mrs. Gaskamp Tries VR in Her Classroom!
This week I got the privilege of working with Mrs. Gaskamp. Mrs. Gaskamp has never used VR in her classroom before, but she took the plunge and tried it on Tuesday. Beforehand, she looked through the extensive list that Google Expeditions has- VR & AR List.
Mrs. Gaskamp found one called The Career Expedition: Paid to Eat Chocolate. This VR expedition let students in her room take a field trip to a lab where chocolate was made. The tour featured a lady that chose the career path of a food scientist for chocolate. The students were fascinated, and Mrs. Gaskamp found that it worked great with what they were studying. She even said she had more lesson ideas for next school year with the VR. A big thank you to Mrs. Gaskamp for trying VR, and a big thank you for Mrs. Ruiz for winning this grant a few years ago so our school can keep enjoying VR.
