Uh Oh... what happened with Flippity?? UPDATE and Suggestions!

 

Hello, fellow Flippity fans!

Recently, the Flippity website and all of it's glorious activities have been down and not able to be used.  Fans of the amazing website, Flippity, were happily updated recently with some more info into what actually occurred over the summer and current fixes that are happening to get the site back up and running!.  

Here is the quick (shortened) version of what occurred from the creator of Flippity, Steve: "Flippity code was broken as an unintended consequence of a recent Google security upgrade.  I (Steve) am currently trying to identify and apply a fix.  It will likely be weeks before Flippity is functional again."

For now, you can still use the option "Skip the Spreadsheet" to make and use multiple Flippity activities, such as: Random Name Picker, Fun With Fonts, Snowman, Word Scramble, Word Search, Bingo, Connecto Game, Matching Game, Tournament Bracket, Randomizer Wheel, Manipulatives, and Word Cloud!  

To do this, go to Flippity.net, and select the tab: Skip the Spreadsheet.  Type in your content/terms into the box and click the appropriate game/activity to generate Flippity activities with a Google sheet.  Separate terms with commas or line breaks.  Don't Forget: Bookmark your page (Ctrl + D) to re-use it!
