If you attended the Ditch Summit over the break, you may have found out that Canva and Flipgrid are now partners! With this partnership, educators and students can now app smash (using two different apps to create one final product) Canva and Flipgrid. The best way to app smash Canva and Flipgrid is to use the premade templates in Canva as a backdrop in Flipgrid.
How to combine Canva and FlipGrid:
So how do you use it? If you are an educator, you can use it to create school pride, give a "Ted Talk", introduce a vocabulary word, and so much more. Be sure to check out our other posts about Flipgrid as well as this list with over 50 ideas.1) Login to Canva. This is free for K-12 educators and students! Sign in with your school email.
2) At your home screen, search for Flipgrid in the template search bar. There are 100's of templates available as backgrounds or frames in Flipgrid.
3) Make edits to the template if you want, then download it.
4) Next login to Flipgrid. Again this is a FREE account.
5) After locating the Flipgrid prompt you want to respond to, click on "add a backdrop" to import that Canva frame or background. Be sure to click next to review the video before submitting it.
