Shake Your Mouse Technology Trick For MINIMIZING All Your Browser Windows!

Shake Your Mouse to Close Minimize Multiple Browser Windows

Okay, so technically with this trick you are just minimizing your multiple browser windows that are currently open rather than fully closing them down.  But still, this nifty tech trick is both helpful and incredibly useful during the day.  Of course, I learned this from watching various #EdTech leaders on TikTok.

So, here's how this works....

When you are on a PC with Windows 10, Click and hold the window's title bar, shake it back and forth and everything will minimize except the window you're currently shaking.  Here's a quick GIF below showing this process:

Now, after some research... I've come to the conclusion that this trick has actually been around since Windows 7, and I'm incredibly late to the party.  This blog post from Groovy Post, by Brian Burgess (@mysticgeek), explains "Aero Shake" in much more detail.  His blog post also explains how to disable Aero Shake on Windows 10 if you don't want it to happen.

You can also use a keyboard shortcut to minimize all your current windows that are open other than the current selected window:  Windows Key + Home Key

Finally, there is one more way to minimize all your windows at the same time.  In the bottom right hand corner of your screen (when on a Windows 10 device), you can click on a small vertical box and it will minimize all your current windows that are open.

I hope all of these tips help you!
