Essential High School Reads And Where To Find Them

Edutopia recently came out with a top 25 list of essential books to read while in high school. This list originally started in 2016 when they asked their community of educators to nominate books they thought were essential for high school students to read. Since then, the list has become more inclusive. 

But this is a technology blog!? Why are we talking about books!? Well, I have a tech app where you can find these books. 

Introducing...Sora! Sora is an app that shows e-books and audiobooks that your campus has. Brenham ISD also has access to the Central Texas Digital Consortium, which is where I found several of the books on the essential reads list. Sora can be found by going to our district's ClassLink page and clicking on Destiny.

As you can see, there are multiple copies of each book and at least one audiobook. Some of these novels though are very popular. For example, John Green's Anthropocene Reviewed has a current wait time of 8 weeks.
