What's New In Chrome?
Chrome Updates That You Need To Know About!

One of the best things about Google is that they are constantly updating their browser and features!  Recently they came out with some great updates that we wanted to share with our readers.  Here are three new feature updates that you can check out:  (Read more about these updates via Google's "What's NEW" blog)

1.)  Save money and time as you shop:

This is a great technology tip for when you are looking at multiple products to purchase and you want to get the best price for your money.  This new feature will allow you to track the price of a product across several online stores at once.  "You'll get an email if the price drops on any site so you can buy when the price is right for you."  This feature would be extremally helpful for educators when looking to purchase items for their classroom, or staff members in the technology department trying to locate the best price on technology equipment.   chrome://whats-new/

2.)  Compare search results faster from the new side panel:

This is a great feature for students when conducting research projects.  This feature will, "expand the side panel to quickly compare search results without having to click the back button."  Very helpful and useful when needing to vet sources, conduct research, or compare information.  This feature is also helpful since it lives right up on browser next to your chrome account manager.   chrome://whats-new/

3.)  Access your passwords on the go:

Do you ever need to easily sign into accounts or websites?  This is a productivity update that will, "Use your saved passwords to easily sign in to websites and apps on your phone.  Just download Chrome for iOS or Android, sign in and sync."  chrome://whats-new/

BONUS Features / Reminders:

1.)  Pin a tab so it's always in the same place:

This feature has been around for a long time, but it's a great way to pin a tab without losing it or accidently closing it down.  "Pinned tabs move in front of other open tabs and stay there, making it easy to get to your most important tabs quickly."  Here is another blog post I created that goes into more detail on extra tab options in Chrome.   chrome://whats-new/

2.)  NEW in-meeting reactions for Google Meet:

Coming soon to Google Meet: Emojis reactions!  "You can now use emojis to share in-meeting reactions in Google Meet on web, Meet Hardware devices, and iOS, with Android coming soon.  These reactions will show as a small badge in the sender's video tile and floating up the left side of the screen.  When there are multiple user engagements, you'll see a burst of emojis on the left side of your screen."  Read more about this new Google Meet feature, HERE
