NEW Right-Click Options in Google Chrome!
Colored Tab Groups + QR Code Generator!

Last week I learned two new tricks for using my Chrome browser.  Both of these tips will help you navigate your browser a lot easier and more efficiently!  Both new tips for Google Chrome involve the "right click" option on a mouse or track pad. (Alt+Click) if on a Chromebook.  Remember, you need to have your Google Chrome account updated for these new features to work.

The first "right-click" tip for Google Chrome is the ability to color group your tabs at the top of your browser window.  How do you do this?  Just right-click on any tab, and click, "Add tab to new group".  Choose from eight different colors, name the group, and viola!, you're good to go!  Now you can simply open the group of tabs by clicking on the colored title, and either dragging a new tab into this group, or right-clicking on a tab and adding to this created tab group.  These colored tab groups won't stay around once you close your window, but they are great for daily organization and efficiency.

The second "right-click" tip is to use on any website to automatically generate a QR code for that page.  How do you do this?  Right-click on any website to bring up your options menu, and click on: Create QR code for this page.  Google Chrome will now automatically generate a QR code that can be downloaded and supplied to others.

This is great for when you need to attach a QR code to a parent newsletter, supply to others on a business card, or post on your door to your classroom for others to scan.
